If you know of Hannam Vale you'll have fallen for its green valleys, woods, streams and its dairy farms and rollercoaster country lanes and rattling wooden bridges.

Penlan Cottage (sleeping up to six) has extensive views down the valley. The cottage has been purpose built for holidayers and comes fully equipped. The large living area and verandah catch every breeze from neaby Crowdy Bay and the Pacific ocean. From the high verandah you breakfast while watching dairy cattle graze in comfort nearby.

Provisions for a hearty breakfast include home baked bread, home made jams, local orange juice, yoghurt, cereals and fresh eggs from the Benbellen farm.

There are open paddocks for your dogs to roam as well as a closed veranda should you want to leave them "at home" while touring the area. Dogs are welcome inside so long as you are with them.

"We already had high expectations after seeing your very professional website. We're happy to say our expectations were exceeded after spending a very relaxing time in this beautiful part of the world. Hannam Vale

Peace and quite amid "country sounds" is what you will find at Penlan Cottage in this delightful coastal valley. Tucked away between the landmark peaks of South and Middle Brother just off the Pacific Highway between Taree and Port Macquarie, this old dairy valley reminds visitors of the fields of England with its rolling hills and patchwork fields of rich green grasses.

Accessed from Johns River from the north and Moorland from the South, Hannam Vale is one third of the way from Sydney to Brisbane - just under half way from Sydney to Byron Bay; an ideal stopping off point for travellers up and down the Highway or as a base for local attractions.

Penlan Cottage

The cottage has two large bedrooms; one with a queen sized bed and the other with a double and two singles; ideal for young children. Pets are most welcome!

Penlan Cottage is operated by the owners of nearby Benbellen farm and visits to Benbellen as an integral part of a family holiday can be arranged.

Benbellen is also the home of Benbellen Alpaca Products and guests are able to purchase goods made from natural untreated alpaca fibre from our farm: sweaters, scaves, hats/beanies/ duvets and underblankets.
