"The Bank", which was the old ES&A and then ANZ Bank has been brought back to life and now operates as luxury accommodation in the centre of Koroit. "The Bank" still has many features from its past including the old vault which is now the kitchen, and some of the old tellers that have been modified into a bar. An open fire and luxury furnishings including a new renovated bathroom with easy access shower add that something special for those wanting to stay in the historical township of Koroit.

Koroit, which is located ten minutes west of Warrnambool (just off the Princes Highway), is also only ten minutes drive to Port Fairy. You can also reach the Grampians in under 1 hours drive north. It is situated on the banks of TowerHill National park, and only five minutes drive to Beautiful Killarney beach. Horseriding, massage and golfing facilities are only 5-10 minutes away. Even closer within walking distance are the bakery, supermarket, antique and second hand book shops. And after a busy day relax at one of the local hotels which includes Historic Mickey Bourkes Hotel. Again all within walking distance.

Locality

Koroit is located off the Princess Highway 10 minutes west of Warrnambool which is the city at the end of the Great Ocean Road.

It is also ten minutes east of the beautiful fishing village of Port Fairy famous for the Port Fairy Folk Festival.

People staying at The Bank can also comfortably drive to the foot of the Grampians National Park in under one hour.

Property

"The Bank" was built in the 1920's and is an excellent example of craftmanship from that period of time. The structure is a double brick with high ornate ceilings and solid timber finishings. The property still retains many of the features of the ANZ Bank including the old vault which is now the Kicthen and several of the bank tellers which now are the corner bar. The old fire place and new modern bathroom add that something extra to the charm and luxury of the building.
