Value of stay- relaxing, Sea breeze was good for my breathing, perfect(in contrast to hay fever sneezing as soon as I came back in Melbourne), nearness to beach of course is unbeatable.
Service- very good..but inform exactly when the accomodation is ready.
Overall Experience-- excellent, quiet, private, relaxing....my wife and I like to come back... "

We treated ourselves to a massage in the cottage, after a long day exploring the beautiful surrounds of Port Fairy. Great location, cosy, comfortable and very peaceful. "

"Cottage is pleasant and well equipped, but is not the isolated cliff-top cottage as it appears on website. There are houses going up near it and the owners house is directly in front of it. Only an angled view of the sea is available.
Stay was enjoyed despite an invasion of millipedes!"

We were looking for a really relaxing place and Amhurst was perfect.You can see the sea from the cottage and it was clean, tidy and had everything in stock for a great stay. Breakfast is delivered by basket every other morning which is perfect."

"'Amhurst' was perfect for a quiet, relaxed get-away. I love Port Fairy, and 'Amhurst' is the exactly the type of accommodation I was looking for. Small, neat and so tranquil. Such close proximity to the rugged coast and the beach walks are great for walking or even just gazing out the window. The owners were very welcoming but not obtrusive, very friendly and helpful. I found 'Amhurst' to be very reasonably priced. I am already planning my next stay at 'Amhurst,' as the feeling of relaxation that 'Amhurst' provided is what a busy person needs much much more of!"

"Fantastic location, relaxing, plenty of attention to detail and everything you could possibly need. Graham is just a stones throw away if you do need anything extra but respects your privacy. Magnificent views from the nearby Time and Tide cafe. If you want to sit, watch the ocean view and listen to nothing, or just have a cosy little getaway and relax with a book,watch TV or DVD this is the place. "
