Unwind in this 1839 Heritage listed cottage on the Fleurieu Peninsula's coast, an hour south of Adelaide. It is a magical place, resonating with the spirit of a bygone age. The perfect romantic getaway for two, a charming self-contained cottage with four main rooms, surrounded by superb landscaped gardens. Facilities include a cosy sitting room, reverse cycle air conditioning, well-appointed kitchen, BBQ, LCD TV/DVD/VCR, CD player, en-suite spa bath. Slate floors throughout add to the charm and appeal.
Nestled in 65 acres of farmland, it has panoramic ocean views between Port Elliot and Victor Harbor, Adelaide's summer holiday playground. Recipient of Silver Medal 2009 SA Tourism Awards and Bronze Medals in 2007 and 2011.

Locality

Five minutes from a range of first class restaurants, cafes and hotels in and around historic Port Elliot. Magnificent sea views, walking trails and whale watching. Many local wineries. Ten minutes from the centre of Victor Harbor, with its 7-day supermarkets to 10pm, cinema, shopping, whale watching centre and Fairy Penguins on nearby Granite Island. Urimbirra Fauna Park is just down the road and there are several nearby golf clubs that welcome visitors. 20 minutes from the Goolwa and the Coorong National Park.

Property

Brooklands is of significant historical interest, being one of the earliest stone cottages on the South Coast, built from stone quarried on the property. It is stands in the foothills immediately behind Port Elliot with magnificent rural and sea views and is part of a small working farm with horse facilities. It has been meticulously restored and is surrounded by beautiful landscaped gardens designed by Sophie Thompson (ABC Gardening Australia)
