The resort complex is just a few minutes away from the heart of Port Douglas, and is located between the famous Four Mile beach and a spectacular links golf course. A spectacular salt water lagoon weaves around the resort into a grand lagoon area which is lit by shimmering golden flames in the evenings. Swimout Apartments offer direct access to the Lagoon
Swimout's are the most desirable apartments in the complex because they offer direct access to the lagoon from the apartment terrace. With direct access to the lagoon from your own private terrace, there is no need for you to catch an elevator or walk across pathways with towels to access the swimming pool. Also, you don't need to try to reserve a sun lounge by the swimming pool because you have two available facing the water from your own private terrace. The terrace is the ideal place for having an afternoon snack, reading a book or just watching other guests swim by!

Our Swimout apartment is ideally located within the resort
As our private guest, you will enjoy one of the best located swim out apartments within the complex. In addition to the ready access you have to the beautiful crystal clear lagoon swimming pool, our apartment is one of the closest to the beach and is located away from the noise of the restaurant and pool bar. We also get the morning rather than afternoon sun.
Access to the famous four mile beach is about a minute's walk away via a pathway accessible at the rear of the apartment.
About our apartment
Our apartment is decorated in a contemporary Balinese style. It has two bedrooms and two bathrooms, a gourmet kitchen with BOSCH appliances including dishwasher and microwave, and a washing machine and dryer.

We have a television with digital freeview and music and kids channels included, a DVD and CD player and a telephone with all local calls included.

We have an ADSL 2 Internet connection which is free to our guests, so there is no need to connect to the resorts internet system unless you want a WIFI connection outside the room (connecting to resorts internet is usually an additional charge for guests of the hotel). Note we provide internet access to our guests for free but the internet speed will slow down if the monthly quota is used up during your stay.

If you want to use a 3G connection (e.g. using your IPAD) we recommend you use a Telstra 3G wireless connection which we have found provides excellent performance within the apartment and throughout the entire resort.

Best for young families

Most families who travel with young children ensure at least one adult stays in the apartment when the children have their morning and afternoon sleeps. Staying in a Swimout apartment changes all that, because you can go for a swim and sunbake whilst still keeping an eye on your children’s bedroom. We have a young four year old son, and have stayed in our apartment many times since he was one year old. Staying in the swimout has meant both my wife and I have been able to enjoy our holiday. There is also a toddler pool covered by a shade cloth and we also have lots of toddler pool toys available for the use of our guests.


2012 TOTAL SOLAR ECLIPSE - FAR NORTH QUEENSLAND
Tens of thousands of intergalactic observers will congregate in Port Douglas this November 2012 to witness one of the world's most unique events.
At 6:38am (local time) the morning of 14 November the sun will become completely obscured by the moon leaving an area of only 150km wide in total darkness but for an awe inspiring electric corona silhouettng the moon.
These events over time have shaped the history of the world, inspiring many of the world's first assumptions of the universe not to mention their affect on even earlier religious and spiritual beliefs.
The phenomenon that is the 2012 Total Solar Eclipse can only be seen in one place on earth – Far North Queensland Australia. It will track over a small sliver of land between Cairns and Port Douglas allowing a totality of approx 2 minutes if witnessed near the red line.
With much of the accommodation already booked in Cairns, Palm Cove and Port Douglas by international wholesalers and eclipse enthusiasts even as early as 2006, very few opportunities are still available to witness this historic event.
