Cottage, Holiday house, Fibro weekender

The large north-east facing decking is an excellent place to sit back and soak in the peacefulness.

With a spacious living area with new leather reclining loung suite and large open yard, there is plenty of room both inside and out.

Bedding Configuration - Bedroom 1: queen bed, bedroom 2: queen bed & bedroom 3: 2 single beds. There's also an extra mattress that you can bring your own linen/sleeping bag for.

Kitchen - Fully equipped with all cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery etc. and fridge/small freezer, microwave, oven/stove, toaster and kettle.

Bathroom - Shower (over a bath) and toilet facilities as well as a 2nd separate toilet off the sunroom/foyer.

Linen & Towels - Linen, doonas, towels and a few blankets are provided. Larger families/groups may like to bring some extra towels.

Laundry - The laundry has a washer for use and there is a small clothes horse for indoors and a washing line outside.

Heating - Warm wood fire (wood provided) in the living room and a few portable heaters for the other rooms.

Deck - Large deck with outdoor setting. A gas BBQ is provided also. Excellent views over the paddocks and Carnarvon Bay.

Entertainment - A TV with DVD player and CD player/radio is provided. There is good digital TV reception and we have provided a few DVDs for rainy days!

Location

Bay View Shack is located at Canarvon Bay, a popular shack village 2 minutes drive or 10 minute walk from the Historic Site at Port Arthur. There is a general store & petrol station, tavern, restaurant, café and veggie stalls close by at Port Arthur for your convenience.

Nubeena is 10 minutes drive away with a few cafes, general stores, bakery, chemist and a hardware store and the gorgeous White Beach. Eagle Hawk Neck, Roaring Beach, Taranna & Koonya are all within 30 minutes drive away and have natural attractions, historic sites and various activities on offer.

See & Do

There is heaps to see and do in the Port Arthur & Tasman Peninsula area!
Remarkable Cave is located at the end of Safety Cove Road. A short walk down to the caves from the carpark is well worth it and there are lovely views of the coast from the lookout.

Palmers Lookout (on Palmers Rd off Safery Cove Rd) has amazing views over Port Arthur and towards Tasman Island.

Safety Cove Beach is a beautiful beach to take a stroll along or even take a dip. Just follow Safety Cove Road towards Remakable Cave. You can drive or walk to Safety Cove Beach from the Shack.
