Australia's native birds are of great interest to both the novice and expert bird watcher. Manna Gum Cottage enjoys a number of native bird species which frequent the property. Many are here all year long, many are migratory and frequent seasonally. When spending time on the deck or whilst walking in the surrounding bush you are able to see a variety of different species of birds. Some of the more interesting species are the Yellow-tailed Black Cockatoo, Kookaburras, many types of Robins, Finches, Superb Fairy Wrens, Lyrebirds and many more. In the air there are occasionally a pair of Wedge-tailed Eagles sometimes followed by noisy fledglings. You will always be entertained by King Parrots, Crimson Rosellas, and Galahs. In the night Mopokes and Tawny frogmouths are frequently be heard and seen.

Wander along the gentle riding tracks of Bright and Wandiligong set in shady arcades of trees or enjoy the sheltered river tracks. Then come back to Manna Gum, relax on the spacious deck and cook yourself a sumptuous dinner on the bbq.
