Holiday house

"Oceanview" is a beautiful, old Queenslander house which was renovated in 2010 with a lot of love.

This spacious oceanfront house has 3 bedrooms (with 1 king, 1 queen and 2 single beds) and is tastefully furnished with a nautical theme. It features a modern kitchen with gas cooking facilities and has beautiful restored timber floors. It is located in a quiet section of The Esplanade, Hervey Bay's waterfront promenade.

Free wifi internet, baby high chair and travel cot available upon request.

"Oceanview" has something to offer for everyone:

On a fishing trip? It is in short walking distance to the boat ramp and Gataker's Restaurant which is a popular wedding venue (less than 5 minutes). Oceanview has off street parking spaces for cars and boat.

On a working holiday? Sit back at the sleep-out and watch the sunrise while being connected to the world with free wifi internet.

Just relaxing? Enjoy the ocean view from the front deck, or the garden from the back deck. Or be a couch potato and watch TV, a DVD or video tape on the large plasma screen. Hire a small catamaran and explore the nearby coast.

Can't go without a barbie? There's a gas BBQ on the back deck for your convenience.

After adventure? Book a whale watch tour between August and November, or a fishing tour with one of the many operators in town. There's also the world's largest sand island, Fraser Island, a national park famous for its 4WD tracks, wild life, clear fresh water streams and lakes, isolated beaches, and rain forest. Regular flights operate from Hervey Bay airport straight to the beaches of Fraser Island.

Away with the family? Visit Hervey Bay's new Wet Park at the Big Oval in Pialba. Walk along the bike way for miles and miles up to the Marina in Urangan (or explore on hire bikes). Enjoy the coffee shops on the way. Walk along the Urangan pier. Go for a swim in the ocean. Hervey Bay is shielded from the forces of the Pacific ocean.

Locality

“Oceanview” is located at the tip of Point Vernon in peaceful Hervey Bay, overlooking the ocean. It is about 30 minutes drive from Maryborough, and 3 ½ hours from Brisbane. There are direct flights from Sydney (Virgin Blue) and Brisbane (Qantas) directly to Hervey Bay’s airport, “Fraser Coast” (HVB).
Hervey Bay is a laid back tourist town with lots to do for adults and kids. For suggestions see above. Hervey Bay also has a number of shopping centres catering for all your needs.

Our guests

We have many guests from the southern states, and particularly from Melbourne, who escape the cold climate in winter and enjoy the calmness of the Bay in summer. Hervey Bay is situated in the subtropics, with an average maximum temperature of a very pleasant 22 degrees Celsius in June, July and August.

Please note that a bond of $100 will need to be paid directly to the owner upon arrival. This will be reimbursed on departure (or alternatively within 3 working days following departure) under the condition that no higher than usual cleaning or repair costs are incurred.
