Barely an hour out from the Sydney CBD,Pepper Tree Ridge combines the past and present in a restored 1870's colonial homestead set on 27 acres of historic rural country side.Features of the property reflect its vivid history including extensive leadlighting, French doors, fine furniture, wide verandahs, a working windmill, original well and antique collections. Century old Peppercorn trees dot the grounds.Wedding parties, honeymoon couples,corporate groups as well as international tourists are amongst the valued clientelle. PTR offers accommodation for six couples in a range of options with breakfasts being a highlight of the day from an extensive menu.

Locality
History abounds in the Macarthur area from the early farming properties of Australia's penal period to the present farm trail properties attracting local roadside sales.Hot air ballooning, sky diving, gliding are available locally. National Parks are just minutes away. The NSW Steam Rail Museum is nearby at Thirlmere. Every weekend sees visitors joining Picton Ghost Hunt expeditions. The Dingo Sanctuary and Wirrimbirra Nature Reserve along with the five Sydney Water Catchment Dams are all part of the Wollondilly scene. Visitors should not miss the magic of the Burragorang Lookout overlooking the Blue Mountains National Park and the flooded Burragorang valley.

Come out and see the stars and in winter curl up in front of the open fire while you fondle a port glass.Perhaps you will want to talk to the horses. Maybe a hammock under the trees in summer is more your thing. And don't forget the outdoor spa for those romantic moments.
