Relax in the peace and tranquility of this coastal retreat, nestled in secluded native vegetation, with panoramic vistas of the ocean inlet of Pelican Lagoon.

Kestrel Downs offers 3 bedrooms and spacious open plan living with serene bush and water views from large picture windows and surrounding verandah.

The fully equipped farm-size kitchen lends itself to leisurely holiday cooking with family and friends.

Enjoy the comfort of reverse cycle air conditioning or the warm ambiance of the slow combustion fire.

Sited on 40 hectares of gently rolling ancient dune country, it is habitat to numerous native birds and animals, some of which can be viewed from the house and verandah, bathing and drinking at the birdbath.

Kestrel Downs is located on the isthmus of the island enjoying a northern outlook, yet only 2 km from the south coast. From the house site the ocean to the north and south can be viewed.

This coastal retreat looks out over a magnificent vista of waterways and islands and to the township of American River in the distance.

Beautiful Pennington Bay, backed by pristine dunes, is just 2 km from the front door.Go beach combing, fishing, swimming or surfing.

At low tide walk along the shores of Pelican Lagoon, located opposite the driveway.
Explore the unique estuarine environment with its community of aquatic birds and schools of stingrays splashing through the shallow waters.

Take a short drive to picturesque American River to eat out, launch your boat, charter a fishing expedition or wander along the water side Cannery Walk.

Swim in the gentle waters of endless Island Beach, just a 10 minute drive away.
