A house that brings the glorious beach to you, no matter where you are; SO CLOSE TO THE WHITE PRISTINE SANDS WITH INCREDIBLE VIEWS OF THE BAY, INSIDE AND OUT! Western's Rest is a glass fronted beach house situated very close to the beach with spectacular views overlooking Penneshaw Bay. Floor to ceiling windows allow you to enjoy sensational beach views from all living, dining and kitchen areas and main bedroom. Enjoy the outdoors in all seasons including winter! Curl up in front of the fire and take in the gorgeous scenery which lies before you.

Open living areas are spacious, light and airy with TWO SEPARATE COSY COMFORTABLE LOUNGES, one with TV and
Hi-fi and the other with combustion heater. Adults can enjoy their space in one living area, whilst children enjoy a DVD or play games in another.

The 3 bedrooms accommodate 8 people. Bedroom 1 has a queen bed. Bedroom 2 has a queen bed. Bedroom 3 has 2 sets of bunks.
Enjoy alfresco dining on the spacious elevated deck and take in the superb views of Penneshaw Bay and Backstairs Passage to the mainland.
We offer a fully equipped renovated kitchen with new white goods; everything you could possibly need.
Western's Rest adjoins a council reserve, which allows an abundance of car/boat parking space and room for the kids to kick a ball and play games.
Enjoy our resident wallabies, penguins and birds.

Situated on the northeast coast of the Island, Penneshaw is a beautiful seaside village with superb views across Backstairs Passage to the mainland. Sealink Ferry Kangaroo Island Terminal is at Penneshaw and only a 5 minute walk from Western's Rest. Western's Rest is elevated and has sensational views overlooking beautiful Penneshaw Bay. It is a 1 minute easy walk to the pristine beach which is perfect for swimming, snorkelling, sailing, windsurfing, kayaking and fishing.
