At Diamond Forest Cottages we offer our guests a relaxing holiday with a farming ambience. We are situated on 50 acres midway between Pemberton & Manjimup and we have a collection of various animals to pet & feed as well as a dam for fishing or canoeing.

At Diamond Forest Cottages we offer our guests a relaxing and peaceful holiday overlooking a picturesque valley.

From your western-red cedar cottage enjoy panoramic forest and rural views of our 50 acre property. Wake up to the call of the birds, and early risers can take the opportunity to photograph the mist rising from the dams below.

During winter nestle inside whilst enjoying a glass of local wine, or enjoy a meal on your verandah during the warmer weather. Our property is adjacent to the lovely Diamond State Forest,which is home to the mighty Diamond Tree only 3km down the road or a leisurely 50 minute stroll thru the forest from your cottage.

Diamond Forest Cottages is located in the Pemberton region and is central to most local attractions. We are situated only 12 minutes from Pemberton and 10 minutes from Manjimup. The region offers fine food, wineries, cafes, craft shops, galleries and a host of natural attractions.

Things to do

* Explore our 50 acre property. Stroll through the gardens, meander through the lavender plants or follow the trails through our own patch of Karri Forest.

* Experience the Diamond State Forest, which is just across the road. There are plenty of walk trails to follow - walk to Diamond Tree (3km one way) or take a shorter walk through unspoilt Karri Forest.

* Trout fishing is available on our dam or at nearby Big Brook Dam, Warren River or King Trout Farm.

* Enjoy watching our abundant bird life. Depending on the time of year you will see Blue Wrens, Parrots, Kookaburras, Variegated Wrens, Black Cockatoos, Scarlet Robins, Black Swans nesting on the neighbours dam, Ducks frolicking on our dam, plus lots more.

* Pemberton Tramway - travel on the tram or steam train through the magnificent Karri Forest.

* Be dazzled by the wildlife display during spring.

* Pemberton Timbermill Tours are available Monday to Thursday.

* Spend the day and follow the Karri Forest Explorer Tourist Drive. Just follow the map, tune into the FM radio station and see some of Pemberton's best natural attractions.

* Climb the fire look-out trees : The Diamond Tree lookout, The Gloucester Tree and The Dave Evans Bicentennial Tree.

* Visit the local wineries: Black George, Chestnut Grove, Donnelly River, Fonty's Pool, Gloucester Ridge, Hidden River, Knights, Mountford, Peos Estate, Phillips Estate, Salitage, Silkwood, The Warren Vineyard, The Wine & Truffle Co. and Woodsmoke Estate are only minutes away.

* Venture further south and enjoy a pleasant drive to the stunning Tree Top Walk in the Valley of the Giants, near Walpole.

* Big Brook dam offers swimming, canoeing, fishing and walking trails, and also has picnic and barbeque facilities.

We have two canadian canoes free for our guests to use at any time during daylight hours. All saftey gear is supplied. Great fun for all the family.

Kids love it at Diamond Forest Cottages as there is just so much to do, the games room with air hockey & foosball is very popular with the older kids & the toddlers just love the petting zoo with different baby animals all year round.

Farmland Experiences

Farm animals live on the property, Sheep, Cattle, Chickens, Horses, Dogs, Other farm animals, Guests able to interact with the farm animals.

Our farm is unique in that guests are encouraged to interact with all our animals both at feeding time daily & any other time they are inclined to have a wander on the property, you dont have to go far to find animals as the chickens & ducks will greet you on arrival.

Fishing

Fishing available on-site, Fishing spots available nearby, Fishing gear available for use, Local fishing knowledge available, Located less than 5 mins walk to water.

Fishing for rainbow trout is a great fun activity for the whole family & is onsite in a 3 acre dam right in front of your cottage, be warned the fish are wild so you may catch some or none dependant on your skill & the weather conditions at the time.

Pet friendly

Cats are permitted, Small dogs (less than 11 kg) are permitted, Medium dogs (11 kg to less than 34 kg) are permitted, Large dogs (34 kg or heavier) are permitted, Pets are permitted inside, Secure, fully fenced running area, Other domesticated animals reside at the property.

Pets are very welcome in Bluegum cottage. Pets are allowed inside the cottage to the hardfloored areas however we do ask they not be allowed within the bedrooms or on the furniture within the cottage. The enclosure is fully fenced & allows access to the front patio on the cottage therefore the pet can have free access both in & outdoors at thier leisure. Dogs must be kept on lead whilst on the property as there are many animals about due to this being a farm, but we do have an off lead area to throw a ball etc. Dogs can swim in the dam or go for long walks over in the state forest just across the road.

Winter some say is the best time of year in the south west. Split system reverse cycle air conditioning or cosy wood fires in all cottages. Winter activities locally are all forest related.
