Cottage, Bed & Breakfast, Self-contained apartment

The most romantic setting with a stunning million dollar view of Port Phillip Bay and Melbourne Citylights on an enchanted mountain with attractions only minutes away in any direction. The heart of the beautiful Dandenong Ranges can be your secret getaway or your base for exploring the many sights, attractions and bush tracks leading into the Doongalla Forest from the gardens. Be prepared to see deer, kangaroos, and wallabies passing through the property early in the morning and evening.

A Camelot Tower and Penthouse is craftsman-built, offering luxurious accommodation in a unique and private setting. Attention to detail is obvious throughout and yours to enjoy. Quality fittings and furnishings are apparent within all of these superb establishments and guests will enjoy a beautiful breakfast, delivered if required, and a well-stocked fridge and pantry, and relax in their own king-size full-length oval spa bath for two.
Among the many unique features of the property is an 18th century Geisha hut assembled over the spa bath in the Camelot Tower and a magnificent $36,000 French Bed - one of the finest hand-sculptured beds in Australia - making it a unique feature in the Sandstone Suite. The Penthouse features a wide custom-built spiral staircase built around a tree trunk effect.
Hot breakfast deliver or danish croissants and fruits. There is also a kitchen but if you wish to use the griller or oven there will be a further cost.

Locality

Just minutes away you can reach the Mt. Dandenong Ranges lookout or the William Ricketts Sanctuary, the enchanted place of this famous sculptor. We can also offer you a picnic basket in our beautiful established gardens.

The many delightful restaurants, including SkyHigh, and craft shops of Olinda are only a short 6 to 8 minute walk away and it is only a further 10 minutes to the National Rhododendron Gardens, the challenging Olinda Golf Course and the RJ Hamer Arboretum, where you can take along a picnic basket and enjoy the view.

You may also want to use this hideaway as your base for an exploration of the nearby Yarra Valley wineries or a trip through the mountains on the famous Puffing Billy steam train and its delightful restaurant carriages.

We are within 45 minutes drive from Melbourne CBD and are also easily accessed via public transport. Your motor car is also well accommodated with remote controlled garages or enclosed carports for guests.

Camelot Tower - This magnificent two storey cottage features a 17th century La Mansarde bell caste slate roofed tower. The tower sits atop massive, curved, hand cut sandstone walls with craftsman built 16th century curve panelling and the tower ceiling is a round marque balloon of silk with filtering stain glass windows. The tower is featured with timber bridge entrance.

Penthouse Suite - A magnificent craftsman built large spiral staircase, built around a tree trunk effect, leads to your solid teak dining room, bedroom and balcony with views all the way to Melbourne lights, Port Phillip Bay and the You Yang’s at sunset, this is a must.

Sandstone Suite - A large single storey building featuring open plan living space, superbly detailed ceilings, cornices and sandstone walls. One of Australia’s finest craftsman built French Bed. The Suite has its own private full-length oval King and Queen size spa with a quarter view of Melbourne and Doongalla forest.

Garden Suite - The Garden Suite offers practical accommodation and has proven to be popular as an overnight stay and for family groups. It can sleep six if required.
