The Stables is a new two bedroom, two bathroom cottage located in the foothills of the Cambewarra Range. It is located 375 metres off Illaroo Road surrounded by trees and has a dam virtually at its door.
There is a slow combustion wood heater for those cool winter days and nights. The kitchen has a dishwasher, cook top and a large pantry. The polished timber floors in the living rooms compliment the luxurious carpets in the bedrooms. There is a small "use and replace" wine cellar which if you use the wine then you replace it with a similar quality. The water supply comes from a tank attached to the cottage and while the shower heads are not water savers there is a timer attached to them.
On arrival enjoy the complimentary wine, cheese and biscuits. We also give you a home-made loaf of delicious bread. There are enough provisions to get you through breakfast (and a bit more) and the pantry is stocked with olive oil, sauces, rice, pasta and enough food to get you started. There is also a coffee maker, slow cooker and a rice cooker. Outside there is a barbecue and a small outdoor setting. People who have stayed at the Stables usually come to relax and do nothing but enjoy the surrounds.
The owners, Carol and Trevor, live on the property and have a policy of not going near the accommodation unless asked to do so. Your stay will be private and undisturbed.

Tapitallee Lodges is located 12.4 km west of Nowra, south west of Berry and just over the hill south west of Kangaroo Valley.
They are the closest accommodation to Arthur Boyd's gift to the nation, Bundanon and Riversdale.
Lyrebird Ridge Organic Winery is just up the road and the Carriages restaurant is 2 km away.
Cambewarra Estate's award winning "Top Drop" is just 7 km away.
Willandra Farm can look after any needs you have for slab timber while Pat Hayward, can show you her unique pottery.

The Stables sleeps four. A two queen size in the main bedroom and two singles in the other. We have had, as well, two mattresses on the floor in the living area but would prefer not to have this happen.
