"Terrific! A beautiful cottage in a beautiful setting. We stayed at Hillgrove House in the lead up to our wedding and could not have wished for a more peaceful, relaxing and memorable setting. The provisions are extremely generous and the accommodation overall is exceptional value for money. We can't wait to stay there again! Matt and Carly, VIC, January 2012"

"An immaculate cosy cottage with so many lovely touches, including a fridge full of gourmet food & a fantastic selection of wines. We loved the roaring log fires during the chilly August evenings coupled with the peace & serentiy of such a beautiful location. Being dog-friendly too made this the perfect retreat."

"Perfect stay. From the moment we walked in through the door we loved Hillgrove House. We stayed for a week, sharing the accommodation with two other friends. The house was perfect, each couple had their own privacy. The house had lovely outdoor areas to sit and enjoy the views during the days and lovely cosy lounge rooms to sit by the fire at night. The fridge was stocked with so much food. All the breakfast supplies and so much more, gourmet delight. The owners, Andrew and Meg far exceeding our expectations. If you are looking for the perfect retreat that offers tranquillity and picturesque surrounding, this is the place. "

"I went to Burdetts cottage to give up smoking and to get out of the city. The best thing was being in the back yard and not being able to see another house or road and the tranquillity of the cottage was a perfect environment to achieve my goal. The little treats of almonds and cookies from the local area also enhanced my stay. Any cravings I had melted away in the giant double spa with the supplied bubbles. I recommend the cottage to anyone who wants out of the city and it is the perfect romantic getaway for any loved up couple. I will definately visit again."

"This accomadation is truly a delight and the managers have thought of everything, way past our expectations. We travel extensively and this would have to be one of the most relaxing, clean and thoughtfully packaged that we have encountered. We will definitely return. When they said they are pet friendly they are more than accomadating thinking of all the little things that make a difference. Well Done, excellent and thank you."

"We had a truly wonderful stay.
The cottage was luxuriously appointed ( nothing like champagne in the spa ! )and stuffed to the gills with fabulous SA produce.
We loved the platter that Meg organised for us when we arrived late on a Thursday night.
When we ran out of firewood, another wheelbarrow was provided and our fireplace set !
The views and gardens were fabulous and it's so private.
We'd can't wait to come back for a whole week.

"
we had a wonderful time. The accommodation, the breakfast choices and other inclusions were of the highest quality. The most noteworthy feature for us was that the third family member--our dog- was able to stay with us. It is so rare to find quality accommodation that will allow dogs. I would recommend this beautiful property to anyone"

"Hillgrove House was the venue for our first few days of married life and provided the perfect escape from wedding related stress.
The house is situated in a beautiful area of the adelaide hills we had not even experienced as 'locals' and both the facilites and service were top notch
Everything one could want was catered for and the culinary indulgences were impressive, even to a jaded hospitality worker.
Highly recommended for any occasion as Hillgrove house is a very reasonable drive from both the city and the attractions of the Hills, yet remains attractively tucked away from any semblance of urban activity.
truly 5 star, we plan to visit again with friends so we can open the whole of this beautiful house up and make the most of its uniqueness.
