Your "Home away from Home" in the Noosa Hinterland since 2000! We offer your family a quiet, independent and affordable alternative to exploring Australia's Sunshine Coast and the popular Noosa area in self-contained accommodation.

Each PRIVATE secluded unique cottage is situated 50 metres apart with its own yard and surrounding gardens and is complete with a full kitchen, heat\air conditioning, TV, DVD, laundry, verandahs, patio with additional outdoor dining set, double carport, ceiling fans, and with all bedding and kitchenware supplied.

PLEASE NOTE: Each bedroom in each cottage contains one queen bed (so some groups may require bed sharing) and required minimum stay is two nights.

We have been PET FRIENDLY since opening during 2000! We offer gated verandahs (which also serves as a private kennel while you are away) and private lawns around each cottage for your pets or young child's safety. Please advise that your pet is accompanying you and dogs are limited to two, unless otherwise agreed.

The Cooroora Cottage is WHEELCHAIR and DISABILITY-friendly on a single level with a wet room bathroom and only steps to a third bedroom for accompanying family, friends or carer.

Enjoy each day among our secluded tranquillity and pastoral beauty, complemented by mountain views, 4 kms of creek bushwalks, sub-tropical rainforest flora and native wildlife. A large rock pond with waterfalls is located in the nearby guest parklands and gardens also offering a boardwalk and gazebo. A small herd of friendly miniature\Dexter cattle and miniature\Shetland horses can be found, petted and fed in the further paddocks to complete the rural charm and family farm experience. Birdwatchers will appreciate our 8,000 planted tree arboretums with their changing seasonal blooms and fragrances which guests and their pets are welcomed to walk-through and explore.

Wireless broadband internet is available either near the managers residence or heated guest swimming pool with its elevated panoramic views.

Locality

We are associated with the following localities where visiting friends or family may reside: Cooroy township, rural Noosa, Noosa Hinterland, Sunshine Coast Hinterland, Black Mountain, Cooroy Mountain, Lake McDonald, and Ridgewood. Cooroy is on the Bruce Highway between the neighbouring towns of Pomona (north) and Eumundi (south; and its famous Wednesday and Saturday markets).

Cooroy Country Cottages is centrally located within the Sunshine Coast, a ten minute drive from the Cooroy town centre and its complete supplies and services, and with close and easy Bruce Highway or Queensland Rail station access to day-trip locations in any direction. It is a mere 15 minute drive to the weekly Eumundi markets. You can be frolicking in the surf on a Noosa ocean beach or arrive at most Sunshine Coast tourist attractions (including Australia Zoo) within a 30 minute drive. A drive south will take you to the Brisbane CBD or the Brisbane Airport within 1 hour 15 minutes. Enjoy trips north to Gympie or whale watching at Hervey Bay.

Please note the above wheelchair access only applies to the three bedroom specially-designed "Cooroora" cottage. Only the third bedrooms for accompany family\friends\carer involves any stairs. The other two bedrooms, including the larger main bedroom, are downstairs in the otherwise "single level" cottage. The shower is a tiled wet room with a central support bar which also hosts a moveable shower head and has been satisfactorily used, with the elongated toilet, by many wheelchair and disabled guests.

Although we also welcome families and children, each private cottage is distantly located (at least 50 metres from another) and surrounded by its own gardens, yard and verandah offering exceptional rare complete privacy and tranquility.

The 8,000 planted tree arboretums, in addition to vast acres of secluded native forests and creek system, attracts many bird varities. Each cottage either has a walled courtyard (Cooroora Cottage) or gated verandahs surrounding the cottage (Australian and Federation Cottages) which serves as a temporary private kennel while you are away. Pets are permitted inside the cottages (though never on the furniture or beds) while you are present, provided such is a continuation of your home care routines. Pets are never allowed to be left inside while you are away from the cottage, as the identified gated verandah or courtyard serves as a temporary kennel. Pets are allowed off-leash on the property if the pet is friendly, under control and the owner accepts responsibility for that decision. Any damage done by the pet is the owner's responsiblity and will be charged. If you will be absent from the cottage for several hours, and especially during the hot summer months, we prefer the dog be brought to a freely-provided secure meshed kennel at the nearby manager's residence so the dog may be properly watered and cared for during your absence at no additional charge.
