"We had a great time. The abundant bird life was wonderful. The kids were entranced by the rustic setting and didn't miss the playstations etc at all. Kim & Cov were welcoming and kept us well supplied with wood. We will reccomend Moosehead lodge to our friends."

"What a fantastic little spot. It snowed on our last day, (JUST LIKE THE PICTURES ON THE NET)
Very peacful and a great place to relax. Very close to the slopes just a short drive through delightful tropical rainforrest and your there. We travelled with another couple and their three children around the same ages as our own and they had a blast. Its good old fashioned (entertain yourselves) so they talked and played sherades and toasted marshmellows on the log fire, they fought and made up, they interacted with the adults and learned how not to drink too much. Overall it was a great way to get back in touch with one another, which in this day and age is something a lot of families dont do enough of. I would like to thank Cyril and his hospitality, he kept a good eye on us in case there was anything we should need such us more wood for the much loved fire. The fridge was a bit of a problem when we first arrived as it went out but we just put anything that needed keeping cold in an esky and popped it just outside the front door. Hey it was 1degee at night ouside and beautiful and warm inside because of the fire. ( Problem was qickly rectified) One word of warning. If you have never been before and you have children, make sure you have sick bags as the slow winding drive to the lodge can be rather nauseating especially if travelling at night (which we truly do not reccommend) If you do make sure your well rested as it is a true test of skill and patience. I would reccommend the lodge for families who want to get away and to couples who want privacy."

"Accommodation was comfortable with a decent supply of wood and an excellent combustion stove. It was a relaxed holiday and one we would do again. Aimed more at families than couples. Loved the ambience of the gas lights."
