Cottage, Holiday house, Lodge, Ski Lodge
Our lodges are not your typical accommodation! With their distinct log cabin feel and western frontier design, staying here certainly is a unique and refreshing experience. It is an undiscovered sanctuary of fresh air, clean spring water, and tranquility in the heart of the forest.
The lodges were built in 1996. Living, dining, and kitchen are in one open plan room, which has a big open fireplace and a comfy leather lounge suite. Firewood is supplied and burning upon your arrival in cold weather. A wood box is located adjacent to the fire place, so there is no chopping wood or going out in the cold to bring in fuel.
Solar power provides electricity and gas is used for cooking and the fridge. The water is from a natural spring that originates from a steep highland close by. You will be surprised at how good it tastes! Outside, a partly covered veranda is the place to sit and take in the forest view.
There is a smorgasbord of walks and things to do, or just relax with your family or friends in front of the fire. This is a great place to "get away" and relax, feed the rosellas, parrots and kookaburras during the day and possums at night. We know you are going to have a great time up here and we look forward to seeing you at Moosehead Lodge where you will be most welcome.

Thanks to Del and Cyrus for making our stay at Moosehead such a memorable one. To arrive at such a cosy destination and have the fire roaring and the lights turned on, is service that goes that one step further.
Moosehead had our kids entertained for days. The swing, the colourful birdlife and the general surroundings provided an endless array of things to do.
Sking fishing walking just what we wanted, too good, we'll BE BACK. Thanks Cyrus.
Skiing / Snowboarding
Mt Baw Baw is only 20 minutes to the top car park. This is a very convenient Ski Resort for Tanjil Bren. It offers a no fuss easy to get to and start skiing mountain. It has 8 lifts, numerous runs and new Tube Park, great for kids. It is great Skiing for Families, snow boarders and cross country skiing at economical prices.
Property
These self contained lodges are certainly more interesting and fun than your standard hotel or ski lodge accommodation. With easy access to Mt Baw Baw skiing in winter or walking / fishing in summer they are a refreshing change from other ordinary accommodation. The wonderful wild life life and big open fire makes all the difference. We will look forward to seeing you.
