Holiday house, Farm stays

The best holiday is the kind where you can totally relax in a private, natural bush setting minus the crowds, traffic noise and sirens, & enjoy plenty of peace & quiet & crisp, clean mountain air. If this sounds like the sort of break you need, then welcome to Old Minton Farmstay Bush Retreat. Situated on 770 acres in the High Country of Southeast NSW, Old Minton is blessed with a mixture of stunning Australian bush, rolling farmland hills & an abundance of native animals, birds & flora.
Originally built in the early 1900's the farmhouse on Old Minton has been renovated & transformed into a character filled home that features stunning stained glass leadlight windows & boasts a huge country kitchen that looks out onto a delightful garden & fruit and nut orchard. The spacious 5 bedroom homestead offers fully self contained accommodation with everything you need for a relaxing & comfortable holiday.
Gardeners, horticulturalists & nature lovers will appreciate the variety of deciduous trees that have been planted over parts of the property to eventually create a "global forest" - approximately 500 exotic trees adorn Old Minton & create a visual treat, particularly in autumn & spring. Equally stunning are the native Eucalypts, gum & wattle trees that define the beauty that Old Minton proudly displays all year round, making this an all seasons holiday destination.
Old Minton Farmstay will appeal to bushwalkers, photographers, artists, wildlife & nature lovers, families & even those thinking of moving to a rural area & wish to experience a taste of country living.
It's a great place for a romantic escape, family holiday, group get together, workshop groups or reunion with old friends. The farmstay is only 90 minutes from either Canberra or the skifields & an hour to lakes & the Sapphire Coast, making it a great base for your next holiday.
Whether it's for a weekend or longer, you'll love Old Minton! We feel blessed to be able to share this amazing part of Australia with you & look forward to your visit!
