Cottage, 4WD tour

Audrey & John Ritter welcome you to their fully renovated cottage and fully self-contained Bed & Breakfast.

The cottage is a comfortable separate building, with its own driveway & parking, 25metres from the main household.

It has a main bedroom with Queen size bed and en-suite with Jacusi bath spa. The newly installed kitchen has a small stove (4 hotplates) and oven, microwave and toaster. There are pots & pans and casserole dishes, kitchen utensils and crockery and cutlery to make the self catering option complete, for stays that cover more meals than breakfast. The comfortable lounge/dining area has a table and chairs, a couch and TV with DVD player. There is lovely heating for winter & aircon for summer. A second bedroom can be opened on request. There is a clothes line for guests use.

We have a pleasant outdoor area, set in the garden, with a gas Bar-b-que and outdoor setting for the exclusive use of guests.

The bush style garden, with an abundance of native birds including Rosella's, Lorikeets, Kookaburras, Galahs, Bellbirds and Cockies and sunny areas offers a relaxing and comfortable retreat that is surprisingly close to the city and other amenities.

The Rob Roy hillclimb is just 10 minutes away, where there are regular historic & club meetings. We are motorsport friendly.

The Panton Hill Hotel is a 200 metre walk, although it cannot be seen or heard. It offers bars and quality dining.

45 minutes to the city, 5 minutes to Hurstbridge station, 45 minutes to Tullamarine or 25 minutes to Campbellfield and the Ford Motor Company. Handy shopping at Hurstbridge, Eltham, Greensborough and Epping Centres.

On the edge of the Yarra Valley, there are local wineries, St Andrews Market (12 min), Yarra Glen Racecourse and Yarra Valley wineries (20 min) and Healseville or Kinglake (30 min). This is an historic ex gold mining area with walking trails to show the rich past.

Winnike Dam picnic, fishing and sailing area 10 min drive. The Rob Roy hillclimb is close to the dam, where there are regular historic & club meetings. We are motorsport freindly.

Yarra Glen racecourse 15 min for picnic meetings and Melbourne Cup harness meeting with full Cup Day book.
Healesville Racecourse 20 minutes.
Yarra Valley wine & food trails including all of the Valley wineries close by.

St Andrews Saturday market 10 minutes.

Walk to the Panton Hill Hotel, Melbourne's closest genuine country pub.
