"Veronica has everything provided at the cottage that you would need - from an umbrella at the doorstep, to fresh juice and milk (in glass bottles) in the fridge, with various types of cereal, bread, jam etc. Lots of games scattered throughout and lovely personal touches. The view is superb and is such a lovely place to relax, whether that be enjoying the early morning views of the Derwent or sitting back at night."

"I can highly recomend this as a fantastic place to stay. It is done up so nice you walk in and feel right at home straight away. The owners are wonderful people. YOu are right on the Derwent river there is a jetty you can sit on and enjoy.The setting is just magic. I will be going back again in the warmer months. Even though it was in the middle of winter, it was so warm inside. Everything is so comfortable. There is nothing i could fault about the place. there are many places to take great photos of outside as well. It is just done up so well. Very friendly and inviting place to stay. Anyone going there would walk away feeling relaxed and satisfied with their stay. It is place that should cost more, but it is so affordable. Within anyones buget. "

"The cottages are excellent, both in condition and in position. The riverside views of these cottages are their strongest. The accommodation is also fantastic; the bathroom contains all the needed items, the beds are equipped with all the linen required and the kitchen is equipped with the basics. The area (new Norfolk) is just far enough from the Hobart to feel the country feel, yet close enough so you can buy groceries. The gardens are well maintained and provide a lovely ‘frame’ for the river.
The river contains wildlife, we saw evidence of this when we spotted a platypus swimming downstream.
