Cottage, Holiday house

The house is situated directly across from a long white sandy beach, with a fairly quiet road between. Our neighbourhood of New Brighton is a mixture of locals and holiday houses (like ours) . A shop/café is about 300m north. New Brighton is built between the north arm of the Brunswick River and the ocean, so there is a choice of fishing, surfing and swimming in the ocean, or kayaking and fishing in the river. The beach is not patrolled and can get rips, though is generally fairly safe. The mouth of the Brunswick has some very safe swimming beaches. Ocean Shores Country club is 2 minutes drive south, it has fabulous views over the ocean as well as a spectacular golf course. Ocean Shores also has a regular shopping centre. Brunswick Heads (5 mins south) has a lovely pub with a large beer garden & very good cafes and restaurants.
The area is on the rim of an old volcanic caldera near the sea, with mountainous lush rainforest, cane fields, dairy & agriculture. There are lovely national parks & state forests such as Mt Warning. Tweed Heads, Coolangatta and the Gold coast are a ½ hour drive to the north. The house is within driving distance of the Gold Coast and Ballina airports.

Property

Please note the following:
1. The house is most suitable for couples or couples with children. It is quite small and intimate, and is not suitable for more than 2 adults.
2. We do not allow dogs.
3. Linen is charged at $40 per couple, and $20 per extra person.

Cancellation policy
A 100% refund applies up to one week before your holiday begins. If you must cancel your holiday after this time, then you can chose to pay a 20% cancellation fee, or you can request to post-phone the holiday for another time. We ask for a deposit upon booking, and request the balance approximately 1 or 2 weeks in advance of your holiday.
