"We had a wonderful and relaxing time. It was a home away from home. Breakfast was very interesting as the beautiful birdlife in the area came and fed on the balcony. "

"I had a 4 day stay at Gilston Retreat with my very large Mastiff pup,we were both made to feel very welcomed by Caroline and her husband Robert (who cooks the most delicious meals). The accomodation was first class,as was the friendly service.
I have stayed in accomodation all over Australia and Gilston Retreat in my opinion ranks with the best. Many thanks from Michelle and Thargo "

"Wonderful. I was after a peaceful place to stay the night before my wedding and this B&B was perfect. This is not a flashy 5 star high rise hotel, but anyone after a pleasant quiet clean and comfortable place away from it all, then this B&B will do the trick."

"My husband and I were delighted with 'Gilston Retreat' from the moment we arrived, frazzled and exhausted. We were met by Caroline, the owner, who greeted us & immediately put the kettle on for a cup of tea. The ground floor apartment was simply, but attractively decorated with many lovely pieces being brought from France, where the owners lived for many years. The kitchen was well-equipped, and Caroline had arranged fresh vases of pink roses in every room. As far as value is concerned I don't think you could do better. Robert, Caroline's French husband, cooked dinner for us, which was served in our apartment overlooking the garden. On balmy nights they serve it upstairs on the terrace under the stars. Caroline even had a little treat arranged for our very spoiled toy poodle, Ebony, who fell in love with her immediately! Breakfast was so good we didn't even think about lunch. The overall experience was very restful, as the setting is tranquil and the only sound was that of the birds in the trees surrounding the garden. Caroline & Robert are caring hosts, who did everything they could to make our stay the wonderful break it was."

"Our group of 4 couples (plus another couple joining us for dinner on the Saturday night) were very happy with the accommodation. Our rooms were very comfortable with everything we needed including bathrooms. Caroline and Robert were wonderful hosts and our every wish was their command. Nothing was a problem. The food was superb, the massage and facials absolutely wonderful. We all left Riviera B&B, after two nights, relaxed, happy and very satisfied with a fabulous weekend away. We certainly received value for money. Thank you."

"We only had a short stay at the Gilston Retreat/Riviera B&B, but it's not something that we are going to forget. Its charming anitque style rooms, cosy communal lounge/dining area, and a touch of luxury in the bathroom made our stay very comfortable.
And the food! Made from homegrown, or fresh market ingredients, and created inhouse by the host- a french chef. It's delicious!"
