Sherwoods Cottage offers the complete holiday on a working cattle property in North West NSW.

Home cooked meals are available in the Federation homestead dining room, where you can dine with your hosts. If you prefer, you can cook your own meals in the fully self contained cottage kitchen.

Guests are taken on a complimentary tour of the property where they can wander freely, later. There are a number of walking tracks that provide lovely views of the Rocky Creek Valley. Guests can also wander along the creek observing the prolific wildlife including kangaroos, emus, turtles, and catfish in the water!

There are many activities nearby like horseriding, artesian baths, Mt Kaputar National Park, gem fossicking and fishing.

Locality

Situated on the Bingara -Narrabri Road, Sherwoods Cottage is halfway between these towns in an area called Rocky Creek. Both towns offer interesting sights. In Bingara there is the historic Roxy Theatre, now fully restored, which you can wander through. There is also Gwydir River Trail Rides which are great fun for all.

In Narrabri, there is the Cotton Centre to visit and the Crossing Theatre. Narrabri offers a full range of shopping including chain takeaways. An hour away is Moree which offers artesian baths an Art Gallery and lots of interesting shops.

There is a fully fenced yard which is great for dogs to stretch their legs safely contained. There is lots of opportunity to walk on a leash outside the fence. Good swimming too!
