Romantic getaway

Cottage, Holiday house

Aquamarine is located just behind the coastal dune, next to beach access stairs. There is a plesant green outlook but no sea view. The house is very spacious and full of light.

There is a dishwasher, a washing machine, a gas BBQ, RC air conditioner, large TV, built in robes in all 3 bedrooms and good quality furniture. We can provide a portacot for a baby.

The main bedroom has an ensuite bathroom. The back verandah is quite large, overlooks the dune and has a table with chairs.

The beach provides safe swimming for the whole family and is largely private, with access hidden behind houses.

While the back garden is not fenced, well behaved pets may be permitted by individual arrangement.

We had a great stay. Great location and really good for kids. They had a ball.

Locality

Baudin Beach is a small settlement of about 100 houses, 5 km East from Island Beach and 10 km West from Penneshaw ferry terminal. There is a lovely art gallery on the main street and a winery a few km down the road. At Penneshaw, there is a good supermarket, a hotel, some nice eateries, cafes and gift shops. Baudin Beach is great for fishing and diving with a good boat ramp down the street and a dive shop around the corner. There is a beautiful, safe and fairly private beach just behind the house. The main highway leading to all the island attractions is only a couple of hundred meters away.

Property

In the morning, you can go for a long walk along the beach and admire numerous small coves hidden by picturesque cliffs. The waters of Eastern Cove are protected from ocean winds and are teaming with wildlife. There are numerous waterbirds including swans, pelicans, cormorants and many other species. Dolphins and seals also frequent the area. The water is exceptionally clear with a variety of fish, most famously the King George Whiting.

When you relax on the verandah in the evening, you can often observe wallabies trimming the grass at the back of the house or possums investigating the surrounding trees.
