At Tala FarmStay, put your feet up and relax in our tranquil garden set on approximately 3 acres, including lawn areas, fruit trees, and a vast assortment of native and exotic plants and trees. There is a variety of things for you to do while staying with us. Or you can choose to do nothing at all - sit on the verandahs and read a book, laze around, and take it easy. There is an outdoor dining area and barbecue facilities for guests.

During your stay, you're welcome to feed the chooks and help collect the eggs or you could try your hand at a game of bush croquet on the east terrace or bocce in the garden. Both these games combine good fun with gentle exercise.

We have chickens and a productive vegetable garden. Life is very laid back here, and we encourage you to be too.

Locality

Tala FarmStay is just 45 minutes from the Gold Coast airport and 90 minutes from Brisbane.
Tyalgum has convenient access to Wollumbin National Park and Mebbin National Park, and very steep access on foot to the Border Ranges and Lamington National Parks. Hikers Heaven!
Mt Warning National Park and the base of the climb is a 20 minute drive from here, and the climb is well worth while. We are close to many National Parks - the Mebbin State Forest and The Natural Arch. Take a spectacular drive through the Border Ranges stopping off at the Lookout at Black Butts, The Pinnacle and The Loop leading to the Tweed Valley Lookout.
Every weekend there are colourful local markets within an easy drive from our home:
Byron Bay: 1st & 5th Sunday / The Shannon: 2nd Sunday / Uki: 3rd Sunday /
Bangalow & Murwillumbah: 4th Sunday / Knox Park (Murwillumbah): 1st & 3rd Saturday
