Cottage

Tallowwood is located on a stunning 18 acre property on the slopes of Mount View. Inside you will find a stylish modern cottage with everything you need to escape from the world and unwind for a while. Fully self-contained and with a full breakfast hamper supplied, just bring yourselves and leave your worries at home. The only thing to disturb you are the ducks on the dam and the Kookaburras in the gum trees!

The cottage comfortably sleeps two couples, in a queen bedroom and king bedroom. A spa bathroom invites you to soak away your stress! For your comfort, the cottage has reverse-cycle airconditioning and a log gas fire. Whip up a great meal in the fully-equipped kitchen or unwind in the outdoor area and throw something on the BBQ. Relax on the lounge and watch one of the DVD's provided or listen to your own music on the CD/MP3/iPod player.

If you decide to venture out, we are only minutes from the boutique wineries and restaurants of Mount View and 20 minutes to the wineries, restaurants and attractions in Pokolbin.

Locality

Situated at the Southern end of the region, Mount View is the Hunter Valley's best kept secret. As you drive up the ridge to the property, you wind up to more than 350m above sea level and are greeted by stunning views of the valley below. Tallowwood is located opposite Mt Bright lookout which has the best views in the Hunter Valley.

Property

Tallowwood is located on 18 acres of largely untouched bushland and has an abundance of local wildlife. The extinct volcano provides ideal soils for Viticulture and the property has a small unirrigated vineyard. The beautiful garden is also home to a citrus grove, olive and fruit trees. For the energetic there are plenty of walking oppurtunities with a section of the Great North Walk passing by the gate.
