Located only 15 min from Cessnock and 15 min from the centre of the Polkabin wine region this cutely decorated old farmhouse has been beautifully restored with antiques and quality furniture, designed to create a luxurious and restful stay.

A hydrotherapy spa bath will mean perfect pummelling in the all white and slate bathroom meticulously finished with old style exposed tap wear and restored pedestal basin. Underfloor heating means toasty toes during the colder months.

A chandelier carried all the way from Prague has pride of place in the lounge room that takes in views down the valley and up the mountain all around on the other side. Large picture windows and large wrap around deck mean there is plenty of opportunity to enjoy the views.

The original agar stove is a showpiece in the restored original kitchen complete with modern day stove, oven, dishwasher, fridge, microwave and all that is needed to cook up a storm. Dine at the 19th Century table and antique chairs in the centre of the kitchen or on the deck.

The cottage has 2 bedrooms, one with a king size bed and the other with a queen. Both beds have quality mattresses, sheep skin mattress covers, pillows and quality 100% linen because we want to ensure a good nights sleep.

We also have a room accessed off the main undercover carport which has been decorated as kids retreat and has its own aircon/heating, toilet, washbasin, TV, DVD, satellite TV and toys, chalkboard etc. There is also 1 set of bunks with a pull out trundle bed and a fold away single bed that can be put into the house in the lounge room or in this room.

Using this room comes as an extra charge of $50 per night if used by children otherwise included in the $25 ppn charge.

Wine tours and transport can be organised.

Only 15 minutes from Cessnock and 15 min from the main Pokolbin wine area, it is surprisingly close to all the action in the Hunter. Mount view offers fantastic vineyards which are only 3 km away so your wine tasting tour starts almost from the front door.

We do welcome well behaved house trained dogs upon request.
The property is fully fenced around the perimeter of the 5 acres.
They will have a ball with all the open space.
