Nestled at the foot of Mt Stirling and Mt Buller in the heart of the high country lies The Crosscut lodge, your year around retreat in the mountains.

The Crosscut is 3km to the Mt Buller Gate and 20 minutes to Mt Buller or Mt Stirling.

This architect designed mountain chalet has been set up for double family groups or couples and friends up to 8 people.

The fully equipped kitchen, dining and living area is the life and soul of this lodge. A cozy wood burning fire box and a reverse cycle airconditioner keeps the interior warm day and night or cool on those hot summer days.

Two queen size rooms, a twin singles room and a bunkroom for two, all have down doonas, pillows, quality linen and towels provided. There are 2 bathrooms, one with an antique claw foot bath.

The Crosscut is a place for all seasons and all pursuits. In winter-cross country skiing on Mt Stirling and snow boarding and skiing on Mt Buller take centre stage.

Autumn is a time for all the senses. About gourmet food and wine and ambience and just indulging yourself and doing what ever takes your fancy....

It's also a great time for hiking quiet trails, fly fishing clear water streams, mountain biking superb single track or creating that classic landscape photograph, painting or sketching.

At around 20 mins to the snow and with direct access to Victorias fabled High Country and Craigs Hut, and a lovely drive to the acclaimed King Valley wineries, The Crosscut lodge is an ideal family retreat all year around.
