Alpenhorn, set in relaxing gardens, enjoys spectacular mountain and valley views and is less than two kilometres from the picturesque township of Mt Beauty.

The units have been recently updated with new kitchens, bathrooms and carpets. Each unit has phone and broadband internet access available. The units are very large and comfortable, with bedrooms and bathroom on the ground floor, and the kitchen/living area enjoying spectacular views from the first floor. A great new feature is the private and spacious balcony. Cool off by the pool or enjoy a BBQ set in a relaxing garden area.

Two private garden units are available for visitors with pets, but prior arrangement is advised.

In winter the Falls Creek Ski Resort is an easy 30km drive. Alpenhorn has a good relationship with local ski hire facilities and is able to offer advice and assistance with your ski requirements. Alpenhorn is a only a short distance from the bus terminal which offers daily connections to Falls Creek, Albury and Melbourne.

Outside Winter, guests enjoy the in-ground pool and BBQs on the front lawn (washed down with local wine from one of the Kiewa Valley's six cellar door outlets). There are plenty of activities to keep guests entertained in the upper Kiewa Valley. If you're inclination is towards adventure there is hang gliding and paragliding from the mountains above the Valley or a flight in a glider can be organized with the Mt Beauty Gliding Club. There is an extensive system of mountain bike trails in the hills surrounding Mt Beauty. There are also several horse riding businesses operating in the valley.

Or if your interests are more on the "gentle" side then there are trout to be pursued in the local streams and dams. There are also numerous interesting walks to be undertaken, including walks in the Alpine National Park. There are several historic cattleman's huts on the high plains to visit, as well as several peaks to climb.

Our units are named after local mountains..so you might be sleeping in Unit 'Arthur', 'Emu', 'Jim', 'Tawonga', 'McKay', 'Beauty' or 'Cope'.
Only Unit 'McKay' is a single bedroom/ground floor unit, all others are two bedroom, two storey.
'Arthur', 'Emu', 'Jim', and 'Tawonga' have balcony views of Mt Bogong, while 'Beauty' and 'Cope' look over a garden area.

Most units are two bedroom. Each bedroom has a double bed with a set of single bunks in the second bedroom. So the units can comfortably sleep 4-6 people. All bedding, linen and towels are provided.
