Blue River Shack has been fully renovated to satisfy the demands of holiday makers. Featuring great outdoor living space there is a large back deck with outdoor kitchen including a sink with hot and cold water, power points and loads of bench space. There is a large timber table with oodles of space to spread out and comfy chairs for relaxing. This is an ideal location to cook up a holiday treat, the day's catch or prepare it for freezing. The back deck faces Wooli River and Yuraygir National Park on the opposite bank.

The kitchen is fully renovated and features bifold windows to integrate the outside in. The kitchen is well equipped and care has been taken to provide good quality utensils to meet the needs of all calibre of cooks. The stove and oven are gas and there is a microwave and dishwasher.

The bathroom has a bath/ shower combo and toilet. There is another toilet in the laundry.

My family has stayed at Blue River Shack several times. We love the big deck looking out over Wooli River and spent all our time relaxing on the deck or cooking up a storm on the outdoor kitchen. The 150 metre stroll to the Bowls Club was great too when we didn't want to cook and the members where very friendly.

WHAT MAKES WOOLI A GREAT PLACE TO HOLIDAY??

As you approach Wooli you’ll see dozens of kangaroos grazing in paddocks and you get a sense that there is something special ahead. This secluded spot surrounded by a national park and a marine park has a quiet ambience that screams relax, unwind and enjoy the simple pleasures that Wooli offers. Whether you want to enjoy the surf beach or the private little swimming spots along the river there are memories to be made in Wooli. You can explore the upper reaches of the river by boat—yours or hired, go for long walks along the beach, through the national park or from north to south through Wooli. There’s lots of fishing spots along the coast or you can go out to the Solitary Islands for a spot of deep sea fishing or diving. The local Bowls Club is a must visit and only doors away from Blue River Shack. While there enjoy a meal at Harry’s Chinese Restaurant. There is also the local pub and café.

Property Features

The yard is fully fenced and there is a private, grassed courtyard at the front of the house and another grassed area off the back deck.

Kid Friendly: A port-a-cot, highchair and plastic cups and cutlery are available along with a pram on request. The kids will love the outdoor shower as a holiday change of routine.

We’ve supplied a hand held blender for any pureed food preparation that is required. As there is enough to pack when you go on holidays we’ve supplied a pram for holiday use. It’s preloved and sturdy, able to go on sand and take wet children and gear. Let us know if you require it when booking.
Pet Friendly: The yard is fully enclosed and we request that all animals stay off beds and chairs.

Location. Everything in Wooli is close. Blue River Shack is located 5 doors away from the Bowling Club and Harry’s Chinese Restaurant. Further on but not far is Wooli Newsagency, Waves Café and the Wooli Oyster Bar. A good, holiday walk on is Wooli Village – Holiday Coast Meats, BP minimarket and Wooli Hotel.

In the opposite direction away from Blue River Shack, there is the river mouth and many great spots dotted along the way for swimming, fishing and a picnicing. A push bike is a great way to get around Wooli as it is flat and there is very little traffic.

The laundry room has a washing machine and dryer and there is space to store fishing tackle overnight.
