Locality

As Moreton Island is all sand and the tracks are all sand, the only vehicles that operate on the Island are 4WD.

BRINGING A 4WD:
If you choose to book a Villa and you would be bringing a 4WD vehicle to the Island you will be required to notify us of the Ferry details so that the Villa can be unlocked for your arrival with the key or door card left on the kitchen bench.

Early bookings are essential as the MiCat is the only vehicle Ferry operating from Brisbane to Moreton Island.

NO 4WD?
If you will not be bringing a 4WD vehicle to the Island you will need to catch the Tangalooma Flyer Passenger Launch which departs from Holt Street Wharf, Pinkenba and travels to the Tangalooma Resort Jetty at least twice daily. As at February 2011 Adult return fares are $75 and children aged 3 to 14 years inclusive are $40 return. Bookings are essential.
