Holiday house

Just metres from the beach, Coign 5 is large, open and modern. All living and sleeping areas are designed to maximise guests' pleasure in the spectacular water views. Many guests have been delighted by the dolphins frequently seen in front of the small group of exclusive beachfront houses where Coign 5 is located. Imagine waking each morning to the sound of waves washing onto the beach, and looking out across the pristine waters of Moreton Bay while listening to the morning chorus of kookaburras and other native birds.

House 5 can easily accommodate two families happily yet can also provide an intimate escape for two. Two large living rooms enable adults and children separate entertainment areas if desired.

The kitchen is a cook's dream. It is fully equipped, and has a double pull-out pantry, large European gas oven, dishwasher, loads of storage space, huge worktops (which give views across the beach and bay), and large fridge/freezer. A BBQ is located conveniently on the deck at the rear of the kitchen.

All bedrooms overlook the beach, while the large master bedroom has a luxurious ensuite with spa bath, glassed shower and double vanities. Two further bathrooms guarantee that all guests are fully catered for.

Locality

Moreton Island, the worlds second largest sand island, is located approximately one hour from Brisbane by ferry or vehicle barge. The island also has an airstrip for fly-in visitors, and helicopter transfers to the island can be arranged through the Resort. Boat moorings are available immediately in front of the Resort. Transfers to and from the island can be arranged privately, or through Tangalooma Resort, or via 4WD barge operators from either Brisbane or Scarborough.

Dolphins are fed at the Resort every evening, and can often be seen in front of the houses during the day. In season whales can regularly be seen off the beach on the eastern side of the island.

The daily sunset, best viewed from the deck of the house with a glass of champagne in hand, is usually a fantastic spectacle unmatched on the mainland.

A huge range of activities is available to be indulged or simply relax and take in the incredible views: a passing parade of wildlife, ships and various sea-craft and of course the sunsets. There is surf on the ‘surf side’ of the island, while the beach in front of the house is protected and is ideal for kids and adults alike – excellent for swimming and many other forms of water borne activities.

The Coign Beach Houses

There are only seven houses on the beachfront at the Coign, the northernmost end of Tangalooma Resort, and only five of these exclusive houses on the beachfront are available for private rental. There are other houses available within the Resort, but located up on the hills behind the Resort - with either a bus trip or a hike to reach the beach!
