"The Dome Home" Cottage at Cowan Cowan - perfect for couples (not suitable for young children)

This incredible hand built stucco house was inspired, designed on the Greek Island houses of Santorini on the Aegean Sea.

The Dome Cottage is a unique and alternate, utterly charming property set in its own secluded rainforest environment in the beachside township of Cowan Cowan on Moreton Island.
The house is totally powered by a large solar power system, the rainforest setting is complete with ponds, bridges and paved outdoor relaxation areas, includes a screened in outdoor deck style room with day bed for hot summer days and nights. There are 2 large hand-built timber outdoor tables for entertaining, one next to the large outdoor gas BBQ.

Bedroom and bathroom privacy is virtually non existent and this is why it is best suited for single couples. The main upper bedroom is secluded although has no door from the central spiral stairway opening from the lower bedroom. It has a queen bed, the roof winds up via a hills host that has been converted to raise the centre section of the dome. Although this appears to open the room to nature and the surrounding tree canopy, it is screened.
The lounge room has a 125cm plasma screen with Foxtel platinum for those rainy days on Moreton and the kitchen is hand built mostly from sun bleached driftwood found on the Island beaches.

There are 2 other double beds in a down stairs bedroom, one of which is built into the wall. There are no internal doors in this residence as it was designed to be open plan - we told you it was alternate!
No washing machine facilities are available in this property.
