Destiny Bay Cottage with its undercover Bbq deck and rolling lawns is only a minute's stroll to the loveliest Cowan Cowan Vehicle Free Beach where you can launch your tinnie or just laze and let the little one's play safely.
The cottage has 2 Queen Size beds and 1 Double bed, 1 internal bathroom and toilet and there is an external shower and toilet in the laundry as well. The kitchen has gas hotplates and gas oven, although most guests prefer to barbecue on the deck where Islanders seem to spend most of their time when they're not out adventuring and enjoying the many magnetic attractions of Moreton Island. Sheets, pillowcases and towels are not supplied but you are welcome to bring your own or they can be hired through the Agent when you book the property.

Locality

Moreton Island is a sand Island just over an hour by Ferry from mainland Brisbane and is often referred to as "Brisbane's Best Kept Secret". Over 98% of the Island is National Park and there are 3 small villages on the Island, Bulwer, Cowan Cowan and Kooringal as well as Tangalooma Wild Dolphin Resort. The unpolluted air, white sandy beaches, sparkling aqua waters, freshwater lakes and giant Sand Dunes where you can go sand tobogganing, together with excellent beach and boat fishing make Moreton a highly desirable getaway for Brisbane locals and overseas guests alike. A Four Wheel Drive Vehicle is necessary to get around as the Beach is the road, and sand tracks link the attractions such as Cape Moreton Lighthouse and the pristine Ocean Beach. Properties in the villages are totally self sufficient and most are powered by solar power and rain water is captured in tanks and supplemented with underground water. Sea birds, dolphin, turtles and dugong enjoy their freedom and protection and fauna and flora is abundant in this relatively unspoilt part of the world. Come and see for yourself – you’ll be back.

SHOULDER Rates apply from 1st September to 31st April with the exception of Queensland School Holiday periods and Public Holiday long weekends.

PEAK: (minimum four nights) $1600 wk
PEAK rates (minimum four nights) apply in all Queensland School holiday periods with the exception of June holidays and High Peak Periods (see below).

HIGH PEAK: (minimum four nights) $1700 week

HIGH PEAK RATES (Minimum four nights) apply from 24th December to 3rd January and From Easter (Good Friday to Easter Monday)

LINEN HIRE (sheets, pillowcases, towels, hand towels, bathmats and tea towels) is available if you choose not to bring your own.
