Locality

Mole Creek lies in a picturesque valley between the Great Western Tiers and the Gog mountain range, a fertile region much favoured by dairy farmers.

There are a multitude of attractions in the immediate Mole Creek vicinity, including -

* the celebrated King Solomons Cave and Maracoopa Cave

* Trowunna Wildlife Park and Devil Research Centre

* farms producing a variety of delicacies, including honey, salmon, cherries and raspberries

* Ashgrove Farm Cheese

* House of Anvers Chocolate Factory

* lakes and rivers for fishing and boating

* mountain scenery with walk trails to suit every level of fitness

* spectacular features such as Alum Cliffs, Devils Gullet, Meander Falls and Liffey Falls

25 km east of Mole Creek lies the picturesque historic town of Deloraine, central to the Great Western Tiers touring region and a major arts and craft centre.

30 minutes drive across the Gog Range to the north will take you to the mural town of Sheffield, with Devonport and the north coast just beyond.

Deloraine, Westbury and other towns in the Great Western Tiers touring region also host special events, one of the most popular being the Tasmanian Craft Fair held in Deloraine in November each year.

The drive from Mole Creek to Cradle Mountain is, quite simply, spectacular, and the Mt Round mountain top lookout will take your breath away.

This scenic drive should not be missed and, along the way, you will find Tasmazia, home to the world's largest maze and the Village of Lower Crackpot.
