Mission Beach's large blocks of lowland forest provides an enormous diversity of habitats for many species that struggle to survive in other parts of Australia. Over 200 bird species 52 mammal species and 60% of all Australian butterflies are at home here.One of the most notable inhabitants is the endangered Cassowary PropertyMission beach is made up of four villages Bingil Bay, Mission Beach Wongaling Beach and South Mission.

It is a great place to nurture your tan to its full potential but do it safely limit your sun soaking time and slip slap and slop at all times.
If the beach is not the place for you our rain-forest walks are worth a visit or you could be adventurous and go skydiving or white water rafting on the mighty Tully.
