Tranquil Rainforest setting close to the Beach

Licuala Lodge is an award winning timber pole home set in 2.5 acres of world heritage rainforest, just 1.5 kms from the beach. Guest accommodation is separate to the main house. Each unit is fully ensuite and has its own verandah, which overlooks the lush tropical gardens. We have a magnificent waterfall swimming pool - probably the best in Mission Beach - with beach entry.
A great brekky is served on the upper verandah of the main house, with a cooked breakfast as an option. Most mornings Sue the landlady will make pancakes or some of her yummy toastie things - they are to die for. Included in the rate are complimentary drinks - tea, coffee, soft drinks and beer - yes beer !! What a bargain.
There is a large guest lounge with TV, DVD player, stereo, games, library, tour desk and the all important magic fridge (full of drinks !!).
The property is frequented on a daily basis by a cassowary - so if you have never seen one of these magnificent creatures then the Lodge is the place to be.
For all you guys who cannot live without it, internet access is here. Laundry facilities are also available, if you simply must do some washing. If you are after a relaxing time then remember - here there is no traffic noise, no airport noise - ahhhh!! bliss.
For cycling enthusiasts there are a couple of bikes, and if you really insist you can have a go on the ride-on mower.
The Lodge is NOT suitable for children under the age of ten.
LocalityMission Beach is a quiet unspoilt oasis with some absolutely great restuarants (no fast food chains here !!). Plenty of walking tracks and a great beach. Also there is scuba diving (Mission Beach is the closest mainland place to the Outer Reef), sky diving, white water rafting, sea kayaking, fishing, golf and also plenty of doing nothing if it takes your fancy.

Per double room - $125. Rate includes a great tropical brekky and complimentary drinks - tea, coffee, soft drinks and BEER !! How good is that. Single rate is $99. An extra bed can be added to the room to make it a triple. Extra adult is charged at $55 per day. A child aged 10 to 17 is charged at $25 per day. The Lodge is NOT suitable for children under the age of ten. We also have a Family Room which is two rooms next to each other. The Family Room is for 2 Adults and 2 Kids. The price for the Family Room is $180 per night. Includes brekky and free drinks. The bed configuration is one king size bed and one queen size bed. An extra bed can be added so that the Family Room can sleep up to 3 kids at a cost of $25 per night.
