Cottage, Holiday house

Millers House is a spacious and comfortable heritage listed ,circa 1859, stone cottage of great character set in the heart of historic Mintaro in South Australia's premium Clare Valley wine region,a pleasant 90 minute drive north of Adelaide.
The house has 3 bedrooms. Bedroom 1 has a double bed, bedroom 2 has a double bed and 2 single beds and bedroom 3 has 2 single beds.All linen is provided.
There is a cosy sitting room, large dining room and well equipped country kitchen. Wide shady slate verandahs around the house offer beautiful views and a lovely place for dining in the warmer months.For the cooler months there are open wood fires in the 3 living rooms with a plentiful supply of wood.
The house is conveniently and quietly located in the historic township of Mintaro. You can walk to restaurants and wineries. Millers House provides an ideal base to explore the wineries of the Clare Valley and to walk or cycle the 26km Riesling Trail.

Locality

Mintaro is a State classified heritage area.Follow the walking trail around the town to observe how slate(Mintaro is the home of the Mintaro Slate Quarry) has been used.
Visit some of the Clare Valley's many wineries and follow the food and wine trail to meet the producers and taste their products.
Visit award winning gardens, artist's in their studios, antique shops the Mintaro maze, a living maze, Martindale Hall, the Georgian mansion featured in the film "Picnic at Hanging Rock". Tennis and golf facilities are closeby.

Winter in the Clare valley means cold crisp starry nights and a good reason to sample wine during the day and enjoy your wine purchases by the open fires in the evening with dinner.
Walks rugged up around Mintaro township and along the Riesling Trail are good exercise and most interesting walks.
