Staying at The Stables offers a unique accommodation experience. Built in the early 1900’s, The Stables were recently renovated and the owners went to great lengths to retain many original features. It provides a comfortable & compact private sanctuary from which you can explore the surrounding area.

The living areas are open plan & feature curved walls & exposed brick. Restored timber throughout gives the house a relaxed atmosphere. The 2 bedrooms (a choice of single or double beds & baby cot are available) and bathroom are located on the upper floor which is light filled and airy. There is a separate powder room downstairs.

The kitchen is well laid out; plenty of bench space & easy to work in. Appliances are top quality European brands. The laundry includes a washing machine, dryer and sink.

The courtyard features more recycled timber and catches the morning sunshine. The Stables has access to a second, larger courtyard that is shared with the residents from the apartments next door.

Middle Park contains some of the best preserved terrace houses and Victorian architecture in Melbourne. You will find quiet, wide streets featuring mature trees, cobble stoned laneways, and double storey buildings in the shopping village.

The Stables is just a few minutes walk to Armstrong Street. There are good cafes, boutiques and holistic health & yoga centres. Also a short walk away is the beach, Albert Park Lake and the Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre.

Middle Park contains some of the best preserved terrace house and Victorian architecture in Melbourne and is part of a strict heritage-conservation area. You will find quiet, wide streets with mature trees and bluestone curbs, and double storey shops in the shopping village. Middle Park is bordered by: the beach to the South, Albert Park Lake to the North, St Kilda to the East and Albert Park to the West. It is well connected by public transport so getting about is easy. There are two fixed rail routes through Middle Park. One runs along Danks Street near the foreshore, and a light-rail tram runs from St Kilda to the heart of Melbourne’s shopping hub in the city, via South Melbourne & Southbank. The Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre, Australian Grand Prix Track, Armstrong Street shopping village & Community Centre are a few streets away. Melbourne Cricket Ground, Rod Laver Arena, Arts Centre, Aquarium, Botanic Gardens and Museum are approx 20 minute away by tram.

Main bedroom has super comfortable queen bed & features original stable doors. Second bedroom has king bed that can split to 2 singles.

Fully equipped kitchen with European appliances, dishwasher, microwave. Plenty of good quality cooking utensils & appliances.

Courtyard
Compact & quiet courtyard with outdoor dining, gas BBQ and pot plants. Fully fenced with restored original stable doors.

Furnished with leather lounge, flat screen TV/DVD/stereo. Original art works. Recycled timber dining table for 6 Retractable doors onto courtyard
