Cottage

A stay at Bluegum Ridge is like a trip into the past, but with all of today's comforts. Set on 20 acres Bluegum Ridge is now home to two spacious and comfortable cottages enveloped by mountain ranges and the Delatite Valley.
There are wide decks, hammocks swinging under the 100 year old blue gums and an outdoor hot spa for star-gazing while sipping sparkling wine (which to our delight was complmentary on arrival). These all indicate the thought and attention to detail Barb and John Hayes have put into this property. Nature has provided views to snow capped Mount Buller and all guests have to do is arrive and kick back.
Other options include nothing more taxing than giving the goats a scratch, roaming the property, or a 4WD tour of the area can be arranged.
There's also horse riding, fishing, golf, wine tasting, bush walking and hot air ballooning. In winter its only a 15 minute drive to the entrance of Mount Buller for skiing. The area is exquisite but then Bluegum Ridge is just as attractive.

Bushwalking & wilderness

The Alpine National park is a beautiful tree lined 15min. drive with the Deletite river runing along side the road, from us at Bluegum Ridge.

Farmland Experiences

Farm animals live on the property, Cattle, Chickens, Horses, Dogs, Guests able to interact with the farm animals.

Bluegum Ridge is a 20 acre property with cows horses and chickens, the children are welcome to collect the chook eggs with supervison, and the horses love a pat or an apple over the fence.

Fishing

Fishing spots available nearby, Local fishing knowledge available.

We are a 3 min drive from our beautiful rivers, the Delatite and Howqua rivers in the high country are great to catch a trout in.
If you would like to put your boat in the water , we are about a 20-25min. drive to Goughs bay where you can do so.

Golf

Golf course located nearby.

The Mansfield golf course is about a 15min. drive from our property, it is a beautiful course to play on, it is watered with recyled water, so is always green, you see the local birds flying around, plus have the magnificent views of Mt Buller.
You will be so relaxed after your game.

Horse riding

Horse riding available nearby, Guests are welcome to bring their own horses.

We have some of the most experienced horse people in Victoria in this area, you can book a ride with them for 2 hrs or a day, or we can book it for you, you will not be disappointed.
If you would like to bring your own horse , we have a large paddock away from our own horses, which runs along side your cottage for you to see them all the time.

Bluegum Ridge is a 4 star property. It has a rustic exterior which is in keeping with the area, the inside has all modern amenities for your comfort. Romantic getaway

Accommodation just for two, Outdoor spa, Wood fire, Chocolates provided on arrival.

We have 2 cottages at Bluegum Ridge, which are situated far enough apart for your romantic getaway [privacy]. All so along with the home made chocolates you recieve a complimentary bottle of champagne.

Snow Skiing

Less than 1/2 hour drive to ski fields, Ski passes available as part of the accommodation package.

We are a 15min. drive from the entrance of Mt buller, or there is a bus that will take you to the top of the mountain, which can be caught on Buller Road, 2.5km drive from our property ski hire is available from the base of the mountain, on top of the mountain, or in Mansfield, we can organise ski passes for you.

Winter Holiday

Log fire, Outdoor spa.

We are a 15.min. drive from Mt Buller ski resort entrance. it is one of of the busiest times of the year, and we suggest people enquire/book early in the year. If there are any enquiries you would like made to make your stay a good one, please don't hesitate to contact us.
