Tathra is a quite coastal village in the winter months but comes to life with many holiday lovers seeking the sun, sand and surf in the warmer months. We are located on the Far South Coast of NSW about 6 hours driving time from Sydney, 3 hours from Canberra or 7 hours from Melbourne.

Our cottages are very private, large in size and separately located with each having its own spectacular lake or natural bush out look all with their own cosy log fires.

Kianinny resort offers FREE ACTIVITIES for the whole family to enjoy. We have our own Private Lake stocked with fish, as well as Canoes, Full Size Tennis Court, Solar Heated Swimming Pool, Traverse Climbing Wall, Kids Playground, Basketball Court, Numerous Bush walking tracks including (Discovery Walk to Pooh's Corner) in our Hundred Acre Woods, Group facilities, Pay TV, DVDs & Games room. Our Championship 18 hole golf course is due for completion Christmas 06 and will be another activity for the family to enjoy at no extra cost.

Renowned for its wildlife with possums, kangaroos, water dragons, wallabies, wombats, goannas, ducks and many other natives are all regular visitors along with 70 different species of birds Kianinny Resort offers a wonderland experience of the best Australia has to offer.

Tathra also offers a great variety of restaurants and eateries as well as three licensed clubs that provide a courtesy bus service to and from the Resort.

The region abounds in National Parks, deserted white sandy beaches, Wilderness areas and State Forests. Whale watching season is September/October. Our area boasts many beaches, lakes and stretches of pristine coastline. Surfing, sailing, diving, and fishing are all popular and well catered for.

The Deluxe Cottages are 2 bedroom fully self contained units with a fully equipped kitchen / Dining room. There is also a lounge room with a large television and DVD player, as well as a separate bathroom. The Deluxe Cottages have recently been refurbished with tasteful décor & fittings. The main bedroom has a queen size bed and the other room has singles, bunks or double beds. The extra benefits of our Deluxe Cottages are your Linen is included in the tariff and you have your own personal gas BBQ and outdoor furniture on your veranda for your convenience.

The Cedar Cabins have 2 x bedrooms with a double bed and the 2nd room has singles or bunks. Bathroom, lounge room with TV and DVD and slow combustion fire. Dining/kitchen equipped for cooking meals. All doonas and pillow are supplied but you need to bring your own linen, pillowcases and towels or hire them from us for $10.00 per person per stay.

Our Family Motel Suites are 2 rooms with one room containing 2 singles and 2 trundles, TV & DVD player and the other room has a double bed. You also have a bathroom and mini fridge. The Motel Suites do not have cooking facilities in them but you do have a personal locker in our ‘Guests Kitchen / Dinning‘ area. Our Guest Kitchen has a stove, oven, microwave, fridge, electric BBQ’s and all utensils, crockery, pots and pans, etc. This kitchen is on a shared basis with all others who have accommodation in our Motel Suites (9 in all) and is located close to your suite.
