"Shirley the manager is lovely, very accommodating and helpful and check out time was flexible. Great location with lots to see and do locally, lots of shopping and close to free trams as well as all other public transport. Not as big as it looks in the website photos but a nice, clean apartment nevertheless (our teenagers loved it). The spiral stairs were a challenge for suitcases and probably wouldn't suit anyone who finds stairs difficult in general. Beware families with younger children, they'll find them hard to resist as well as the rooftop area which in warmer weather would be a great place to eat and entertain! The building itself is older style undergoing some refurbishment in the common areas. The lift is very slow, not a problem if you're on holiday and not in a rush to get anywhere! Our one main issue was that we booked for 5 people and the fold-away bed didn't really accommodate an extra adult(we had 2 mums, 2 daughters and our other adult friend opted to sleep on the sofa in the lounge room)."

"Best thing about the property is it's location. It's close to everything. The spiral stairs should be mentioned as a safety and disabled accessibility issue. They are too steep for the elderly, my 80 year old grandmother fell down them and we tried to contact the property owner on numerous occasions and did not get in touch with us. Very upset about the whole incident."

"Hi Folks!

Our stay at the Cosmopolitan Apartments happened in October 2007. We were suprised about how central the location of the apartments were.

Directly across the road & tram line was Federation Square. For those who haven't been there, this is one of the cultural hubs of Melbourne CBD.

The Circle Tram station [free to take] was approximately 2 minutes walk from your front door.

The proximity of the MCG, Vodaphone arena, train & tram stations and the Domain was incredibly within a short walking distance. Could go on & on, but you should experience this one for yourself.

The apartment is perfect for the couple. Maybe 1 person extra at a squeeze. Full self catering facilities are all there, but for those who don't, take a walk to one of the many close, fabulous restaraunts located within a 5 - 10 minute walk from your door. Full size fridge, oven, cooktop, microwave, toaster and kettle are all at your disposal with a selection of cooking & eating utensils.

For those who like to stay indoors, a TV, DVD player and a CD player are available to entertain you.

Apartment security is great. Paid parking is available approximately 2 doors down from the apartment.

The apartment has that yesteryear feel about it. The probable original elevator. Moves at a snail pace, yet elegant and the building has the feeling of grandeur about it.

Rooftop access through a manhole that your pull down from the ceiling and a ladder appears. Great views. Small deck and a couple of chairs. Cosy yet provides an expansive view of your surrounds.

Approximately $43 - $50 taxi ride from the airport.

All we can say is that when in Melbourne, we will certainly be looking for this little gem in the city again.
