Activities- What to do

Open to the Pacific Ocean, Maroubra beach has consistent surf, the sets arriving with power and and driven by an east, south or north easterly swell. Take your board and ride the waves at either end of the beach. Dont know how to surf? Then you can take some surf lessons. Or, enjoy a leisurely swim in Mahon Pool, enclosed seawater rock pool. If you're feeling energetic, from here you may start the breathtaking coastal walk to Coogee Beach, Gordons Bay, Tamarama Beach, through to Bondi Beach. Discover the inspiring beauty that Maroubra has to offer, as you walk or jog around the ever changing coast line. Dive, fish, swim, snorkel and sunbathe. Take a short stroll to Maroubra's Skate park, enclosed and shaded Chidrens' Playground and bar-b-que areas. Club, Pub Cafe's and restaurants all in the same strip. Coogee Beach is only a 5 min drive for more pubs, clubs and restaurants.

Surfers Retreat is located on the Northern end of Maroubra Beach. Closest beach access, simply cross the road.

Public transport (buses) to the Harbour Bridge, Opera House, Fox Studios, Sydney Cricket ground and the City.

By car, 10 min to Sydney Airport and 15 min to the City.
