Locality

Some 15 beaches stretch over 50 kms, From Manly Beach to Palm Beach.
Manly has been one of Sydney's major tourist attractions for years. Manly is one of the world's most popular surf beaches and has some great waves. At the very north end of Manly beach is Queenscliff, a rivermouth setup with a very good left off the point if the sandbanks are working.
At the very southern end of Manly beach is a walk way which takes you to Fairy Bower one of Sydney's best, and most famous point breaks.
Freshwater is a small beach which is just around the point from Manly and can have some very good waves for beginners and is a popular bodyboarding break.
Dee Why Point is one of the great point breaks of Sydney but only take on this one if you can handle heavy take-offs.
Long Reef offers a wide selection of reef and beach breaks that work in a wide variety of swell and wind conditions.
Collaroy is a great wave for learners especially in the big southerly swells.
Narrabeen is one of the most consistent waves in Sydney. North Narrabeen is a rivermouth surf break which is also one of the best around.
Turimetta Point is a small point break which has some good lefts and short rights in N to Ne swells. Access is difficult and is only recommended for experienced surfers.
Warriewood is a pretty small beach but does get some good swell so it is worth checking out.
Newport Beach has several breaks from the northern headland to the southern end of the beach which is a long thin reef so expect some good waves most days.
Palm Beach is a long open beach where Home and Away is filmed and can have some good surf if you are lucky.
Property
The COMMON AREA is the centre of the hostel, visited by all guests to eat, drink, chat or relax in front of the television.
KITCHEN
The kitchen is large and modern with large preparation areas, new ovens, microwave ovens, gas hobs, ample secure food storage lockers and refrigeration.
The kitchen and dining area is cleaned daily, and containers are supplied to keep food separate. Cooking utensils are also supplied.
LINEN
Board Rider Backpacker provides all linen including blankets and pillows.
For extended stays we will gladly supply you with fresh linen on request.
CATERING
All cutlery, crockery and cooking utensils are supplied. Buckets with labels are supplied on arrival for guests to store perishable food.
