Holiday house

The Garden House is situated less than 1.5 kilometres from Mallacoota's town centre. Walking tracks through bushland connect to the township, inlet, surf beaches and golf club.

The surf beaches are unspoilt, with magnificent views to Gabo Island and to the Croagingalong and Nadgee wilderness areas. Mallacoota's main surf beaches, Bastion and Tip beaches can be reached in 5-10 minutes walking time.

The house is nestled in a lush garden of fruit and olive trees. Paved areas of river stone makes it an ideal outdoor setting for relaxing and entertaining. Large sandpits and paths make the garden ideal for children playing in a secure environment.

There is off-street parking for up to 4 cars or boats. The Garden House was designed by an interior designer in the 1970s, and maintains many of its 70's features.

The house is light and cosy, and north-facing windows overlook the rear garden. There are two sofas, with fold out double beds. The house is heated by a wood heater and has two wall-mounted electric space heaters.

The kitchen has a dishwasher, microwave, full size fridge and gas oven, and is well designed for entertaining. The kitchen has floorboards, whereas the rest of the house is carpeted. The lounge room has a flat screen TV/DVD/VCR and stereo.

The two bedrooms overlook the front garden, which is shielded from the street by trees and fencing. Both bedrooms have sliding doors that open onto a deck. The tree-lined street is quiet.

Doonas and pillows are supplied; you must bring your own sheeting and pillow-slips. However, subject to availability linen may be hired at an extra cost of $30 per person.

To accommodate extra visitors there are two pullout sofa double beds in the living areas. There is a washing machine and ironing board in the laundry.

Mallacoota

Mallacoota is a true year-round destination, with Victoria's warmest winter temperatures and cooling breezes fresh from the ocean in summer.

Experience the joys of doing just what takes your fancy … surfing, walking, fishing, boating, bird watching (30% of Australia’s birdlife is seen here), canoeing, kayaking, cruising, golfing, bowling, swimming … and most of all, “switching off” to re-charge your batteries while the rest of the world goes by. The beautiful Mallacoota Inlet, with its shimmering lakes, rivers, pristine forests and turquoise sea lapping quiet beaches, captivates everyone who holidays here and urges them to "come back again". Surrounded by the magnificent Croajingolong National Park, Mallacoota is one of the most relaxing places imaginable. With never a sense of holiday crowds, the Top Lake, Bottom Lake, little inlets, cliffs, beaches and mountains reveal innumerable places to explore, boat, fish, walk or simply sit and watch the birds, animals, flora and sunsets.

Mallacoota is the jewel in the Victorian Wilderness coast, surrounded by National Parks on land and at sea.
