Sited at the end of the main street, you are just a short walk to most shops including cafes,restaurants,hotels,supermarket & just opposite our unique bakery. There is a variety of gallerys, including the 'Penny School' Art Gallery & cafe, bookshops, picture framer, ceramics, quality craft, a furniture maker & quilting shop with our own 'Beehive Old Wares' & several other furniture & collectables shops nearby.
We do receive quite a number of re- bookings & friends of guests who have stayed previously.
Historic Goldfields TownMaldon was classified by the National Trust in 1966 as Australia's..'Most Notable Town'. This is quite special as today the main commercial centre ( Main Street ) looks almost the same as photographs taken in 1900.Established in the 1850's it is quite unique in the fact that it has never closed down or become a 'ghost town'. A living, breathing, thriving 'goldfields' town ( not a 'Sovereign Hill' ), busy most weekends...yes, but very peaceful & 'special' on weekdays. 'TakeAbreak'& visit this wonderful town. PropertySited on the corner of Main Street & Phoenix Street in Maldon, ( 72 Main Street ) this accommodation is like an 'oasis' in the centre of town but close to everything.
