Cottage, Holiday house

Walking, cylcing fishing, sufrsking and boating is available directly from the property.The Bay Islands 9 hole golf course is a 10 min stroll from the front door. One set of golf clubs is available for guests use. Dining and courtesy buses available from Golf Club and Bowls Club.

Locality

Macleay Island is situated 5km off the mainland in Moreton Bay and 40km from the Brisbane CBD. It is part of a group of islands in Southern Moreton Bay between Brisbane and the Gold Coast known as the Bay Islands. It is accessible by regular passenger and car ferry from Redland Bay marina terminal. The passenger ferry is just a 15 minute trip. The approximate ferry costs are $17 return per adult on the passenger ferry or $109 return per vehicle on the car ferry.

Property

This is a three bedroom house with views from living areas and bedrooms. This is a character 'pole' house. It is double story with wooden internal staircase, internal balcony and exposed beams and wooden ceilings. One double bedroom is on the bottom level. On the upper level there is another double bed with single bunk over in the second bedroom and 2 single beds in a third bedroom. Upper bedrooms have views of the water. Living, kitchen ,bathroom and toilet are on the lower level.

Property is accessible by public transport (Bus and Ferry) from Brisbane CBD. The bus coordinates directly to the ferry terminal. Passenger ferries depart Redland Bay Marina on a regular basis (usually every 30 minutes). The ferry journey time is only 15 minutes. The house is a 15 minute walk from the Macleay Island Ferry terminal. Taxi meets the ferries for those who do not wish to walk.
