Holiday house

Coondooroopa Cove is a waterfront fully renovated self contained house set next to the beach.Sensational water views offer peace, tranquility and stunning sunsets. Watch the twinkling lights across the water at night.
The air conditioned lounge, dining and kitchen area is open plan with a
luxurious new kitchen with black granite bench tops, glass splashbacks and stainless steel appliances.This living area has glass sliding doors to the front and back decks overlooking the water.
There's an adjoining family room with sofa bed (converts to a double bed), TV, DVD player and ceiling fan. This room also opens onto the back deck.
The large deck is an entertainers delight with a huge table and BBQ. Preparing food or cooking on the BBQ overlooking the expansive water views is so relaxing! Relax on the deck watching the dolphins frolic and yachts sailing past in the breeze.
Spacious bedrooms have water views and doors opening to the deck, the main bedroom has a queen-size bed and walk in robe through to the ample bathroom with a double shower.
The other bedroom has two single beds and built in robe. The bedrooms have ceiling fans to cool you on those warm lazy days and nights.
There's a full laundry with front loading washing machine and a seperate toilet.
Enjoy the gardens which gently slope down to the sandy waters edge. there's a shady spot under the coconut palms to sit and relax.
You can anchor your boat just out the front of the house (tide permitting) or fish or swim off the sandy beach.

Locality

Macleay island is sheltered in the vast marine park of Moreton Bay, right next to North Stradbroke Island. It is rich in native flora and fauna, providing respite from the outside world.
An eco-tourism dream and bird watchers nirvana, the island offers a variety of experiences.
The calm waters and sandy beaches are great for swimming, fishing, sea kayaking and snorkelling.
Mingle with the locals playing golf, tennis or lawn bowls, explore the bicycle and heritage trail.
The island has restuarants, tavern (pub) bowls club and golf club with pokies and entertainment. All these venues are great for eating out.
Other facilities include supermarkets, chemist, post office, art gallery, boating and fishing supplies, kayak hire, hairdressers, relaxing massage, pizza, bakery, seafood and takeaway.

Getting There

Macleay Island is our best kept secret and getting there is easy. Bay Island Transit System (fast water ferry) runs half hourly to the island and takes just over 12 minutes to reach Macleay Island.At Redland Bay the water taxi terminal is located in Banana St. and there is a free public carpark at the terminal, which also connects to regular public bus services.Stradbroke ferries operate
the car barge and are located at Weinham St.Redland Bay.The car barge must be booked in advance. This relaxing trip takes around 40 minutes.
These terminals are just 45 minutes from either Brisbane CBD or the Gold Coast.
Airport transfers can be arranged.
