Cottage

Gisborne Peak Winery Eco-Cottages is a facility where sustainability, luxury, relaxation and fine wine all come together in one location.

Each of the 3 eco-cottages are self-contained and sleep two people in luxury and comfort. They are nestled into the hillside overlooking the vines and the lake. Perfect for relaxing, reading, talking or just watching the vines and the grapes grow! You can always have a tasting of the estate grown wines at the cellar door and even help out in the vineyard with seasonal activities if you want. There is always something happening! On Friday through Sundays the wood-fired oven cooks delicious pizzas, prawns and more to match with the Gisborne Peak Wine range.

Locality

Located only 45 minutes from Melbourne and 25 minutes from the airport. Don't waste your time driving to your destination - get here in a matter of minutes. You'll feel like you're a million miles away from the City. The beautiful and stately Macedon Ranges are waiting for you to explore. Go browsing in one of the nine villages, each with their own personality. The mysterious Hanging Rock is waiting for you, Daylesford is just a short drive away, food & wine abound in the region. Quiet, not crowded, the Macedon Ranges is truly the road less travelled.

Property

The 3 eco-cottages are located on a working vineyard with an active cellar door. The cottages are within walking distance of the cellar door, but have a private view of the vines and the lake. Walk through the vines. Each cottage is self-contained and all provisions for a continental and cooked breakfast are provided. The bed is fitted with Egyptian cotton sheets. The lounge has all the creature comforts you want.

The Eco-Cottages are located on a working vineyard. There is unfenced lakes on the property and are not suitable for children. Walks through the vineyard are permitted. If guests would like to participate in vineyard seasonal activities, they are welcome to do so (subject to conditions of weather, tasks, etc)

Eco-friendly

Building designed along eco-lines, Building made from ecologically friendly materials, Bio-cycle or equivalent waste system., Solar powered accommodation, Bio-diverse setting, Ecological information and activities on site.

The Eco-Cottages are totally off the electricity grid. All power is sourced from a small wind turbine and solar panels. There is a back-up diesel generator. The building construction is of pressed straw. All the windows and doors and double glazed, with extra insulation in the floors and ceilings. The cottages are quiet and secure. The waste management system is an Envirosep - the latest in lean, green waste management systems.

Gay & Lesbian friendly

Operators well-informed of gay and lesbian-friendly activities and attractions in the area, All guests welcome.

We are located in the Daylesford & Macedon Spa Country region. Daylesford is home to Chill Out Festival, a gay festival. The nearby township of Woodend is a gay-friendly village.

Gisborne Peak Winery is a boutique winery producing over 1800 cases per year. The cellar door is open 7-days a week providing wine tastings, wine sales and serves delicious wood-fired pizzas on Friday-Sundays and all public holidays.
